I began my complementary health career working in Tullivers Herbs & Wholefoods, an independant health food store in York. This sparked my interest in nutrition and herbal medicine and led to me studying for a BSc in Nutritional Medicine at Thames Valley University.
In 2009 I gained my Diploma in Nutritional Medicine, began my nutritional therapy practice and continued studying, achieving a BSc in June 2010. I hold full membership of BANT (British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy) and The Health Food Institute (HFI), having received 3 national awards from the HFI for professional development.
In 2013 I was awarded a Fellowship of the Health Food Institute in recognition of my longstanding committment to the health industry.
I have appeared regularly on BBC Radio York and featured on Sky News, in health magazines and websites discussing nutrition and complementary health. I enjoy talking to support groups on health and nutrition and collaborating with other practitioners to provide interactive workshops on the physiological impact of stress and how to alleviate and manage the symptoms.
